The victim told police they had been attacked at the main railway station in the capital on Thursday, suffering a knife wound to their hip.
Police were able to identify the perpetrator and secured the alleged weapon after obtaining a search warrant for the suspect’s address. The suspect was consequently taken into custody by order of the public prosecutor.

Air rifle incident in Esch-sur-Alzette
Police in Esch-sur-Alzette received reports of a man threatening another person with an air rifle on Rue Caspar-Mathias Spoo at 2.am on Thursday. Shots were fired, but no injuries were reported.
Officers located the suspect in a residential building following a search operation, and discovered a shotgun, air rifle, and several rounds of ammunition in the suspect’s flat. He was arrested by order of the public prosecutor.
