Spuerkeess’ banking income rose from 647 million to 753 million in 2022, although this was offset by a 10% increase in fees compared to 2021. 4,471 clients were granted mortgages last year.
At the moment, however, the housing situation in Luxembourg is such that there has been a 40% drop in demand for housing loans. A spokesperson for the bank said buyers were holding off as they waited to see how material prices and interest rates are affected.
