Overall, spring 2021 was cold. According to the Ministry of Agriculture's National Meteorological Service, temperatures were down by 2.2 degrees on average across the country in 2021. AgriMeteo's analysis spans from 1 March to 31 May.

While it did not rain enough in northern Luxembourg, the country's south has had too much rain.

Looking at the individual months, it can be observed that March was a rather mixed bag. On 31 March, a new record temperature of 25.4 degrees was measured in Clemency. In contrast, April was cold and dry and compared to previous years, May was also cold and wet.

Due to the cold temperatures, the country's vegetation blossomed later than usual. On the other hand, the situation is satisfactory for agricultural crops, despite the fact that the late frost did cause damage in Luxembourg's vineyards and orchards. However, the amount of damage varies from place to place.
