In Esch-sur-Alzette, a routine call about a drunken man on a bus turned chaotic on Friday, resulting in the man's arrest and the detention of his sister after she confronted police officers.

On Friday afternoon at around 1pm, police received reports of a reportedly intoxicated man on a bus in Esch-sur-Alzette, specifically at “Place Antoine Krier.” Upon arrival, officers found the man sleeping and visibly disoriented. They experienced significant difficulty in getting him to disembark from the bus.

The situation escalated when the intoxicated man began to insult the officers. Eventually, he reluctantly left the bus and proceeded towards Boulevard J. F. Kennedy, stopping at a fruit and vegetable store.

At the store, the man seemingly could not resist helping himself to some fruit, eating it, and leaving without paying. Observing this from a distance, the police confronted him again, demanding he pay for the fruit. When the man refused, the officers decided to arrest him.

During his examination at the hospital, the man resisted so much that he had to be restrained, resulting in minor injuries to one officer. The man was subsequently fined for rebellion and theft.

The situation took another turn when the man’s sister arrived at the police station. She began to heavily insult and provoke the officers, insisting on seeing her brother. When this request was denied, a heated confrontation ensued, during which another officer sustained minor injuries. The sister, who was extremely agitated, was detained following a medical examination and also fined for rebellion.
