One person was injured in the accident, which was attended by a Mertert ambulance and fire fighters from Niederanven and Luxembourg City.
Earlier on Wednesday a collision between two vehicles occurred on the same stretch of the road, injuring two people. An ambulance from the capital and fire crews and Niederanven fire fighters assisted with the incident, which happened at around 3.25pm.
A car crashed into the barrier at the Potaschberg entry on the A1 towards Trier at 1.13pm. One person was injured and assisted by a Mertert ambulance, Grevenmacher, Mertert and Manternach fire fighters.
A pedestrian was struck by a car on Boulevard Konrad Adenauer in Kirchberg at 5.30pm and suffered injuries. The driver purportedly did not see the pedestrian as they stepped on to the road. The capital's emergency services attended the scene.
Luxembourg City services were called into action again when another collision occurred in Merl. A cyclist was injured after being hit by a car on Rue Beatrix de Bourbon.
Later, at 8.10pm, another person was injured when two cars crashed in the Saint-Esprit tunnel.
And in Weilerbach yet another person suffered injuries after they crashed their vehicle into a barrier at 8.45pm. A Larochette ambulance and Berdorf fire fighters were at the scene.
