A serious crash occurred on the B53 near the Trier-Quint exit on Tuesday evening. According to initial reports, several people were injured after two vehicles collided for reasons that remain unclear.
Emergency services at the scene included Schweich police, US military police from Spangdahlem, Red Cross teams from Ehrang and Schweich, the fire brigade, and a Luxembourg Air Rescue helicopter.
The road was closed around the scene of the crash while emergency services responded.
