A collision occurred between a truck and a van, resulting in the truck overturning, between the Mamer/Capellen and Steinfort areas. This lane is also anticipated to remain closed to traffic “for several hours.”

According to on-site sources, it is reported that the truck driver was found trapped and required extraction by the rescue teams. The Air Rescue helicopter was also on-site. In total, two individuals sustained injuries.
The highway itself is fully blocked in the direction towards Belgium, between Mamer/Capellen and Steinfort, for an indefinite period, as stated by the police. On-site confirmation suggests that the closure could last for several hours. Detours have been established, and every effort is being made to manage the situation effectively.

Reportedly, the A6 was also briefly closed in the direction towards the city, at the same location as the closure towards Belgium. An additional Air Rescue helicopter landed during this period. Just before 1pm, the stretch towards the city was reopened.
