Following the fatal accident on Sunday night, the safety organisation “Sécurité routière” and the “Association des victimes de la route”, representing road victims, made a statement. They noted that they had written countless times to ministers François Bausch and Carole Dieschbourg to draw attention to the dangers of tree-lined roads. They could not understand that new trees continued to be planted right next to the road, ensuring the creation of future road victims, they said.
