Several construction sites will complicate journeys for motorists this weekend, in addition to the usual holiday traffic.
An extensive project launched at 10pm on Friday at the Croix de Gasperich, which will impact traffic on the A1 towards Trier and the A3 slip road to the A1 towards Trier. The Roads and Bridges Administration confirmed roadblocks would be in place until 5am on Monday 31 July.
Traffic on the A1 will be restricted to two lanes, one heading in each direction, between the Croix de Gasperich and the Howald tunnel.
Traffic coming from the A3 will be diverted via Cessange.
As part of the next phase of construction of the Micheville link, further roadworks commenced at 11pm on Friday on the A4/B40.
There will be roadblocks between the Lankelz junction and the Belval-Gare interchange until 5am on Monday 31 July.
Barriers will be installed on the A4/B40 motorway in both directions on the section concerned and on the A13 slip road towards Schengen.
Details on the diversions in place can be viewed here.
Finally, there are ongoing roadworks on the A3 motorway to widen the lanes around Livange, slowing down traffic to and from France.
