Starting tomorrow, the National Roads Administration will test its winter road maintenance equipment. The purpose of this is to check that all vehicles and machinery work properly and to familiarise new staff with the procedures for spreading grit and salt.
To avoid disrupting traffic, the tests will take place between 3am and 6am.
To protect the environment, the amount of salt used during the tests will be kept to a minimum.
