This process will only affect those parties that did not participate in the recent municipal elections as the major parties have already been awarded a number. And as things stand, the ballots for October look set to be rather full.
For instance, there will be ten parties fighting for nine MP mandates in the northern constituency.
It remains to be seen whether the other electoral districts will be equally busy. The pan-European party Volt for one will once again run in the South and in the East, but without lead candidates.
