
The shutdown did not affect electricity supply, with the Électricité de France (EDF), who runs the reactor, saying that it will reach “full power in the coming days”.
Inspectors from the French Agency for Nuclear Safety (ASN) prevented operators to restart the reactor earlier until the problem had been fully fixed.
The EDF proceeded to replace all four lines of the reactor’s safety injection circuit, which are used to rapidly cool down the reactor should it be required.
