Professor Seil has been named chief medical officer at Aspetar, a renowned orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital in Qatar. He previously worked at the institution as a visiting surgeon before accepting this new position.
Reflecting on his upcoming responsibilities, Professor Seil said he hopes his new role will further strengthen ties between Aspetar and Luxembourg’s Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL), among other partnerships.
Seil is also known for being one of the CHL doctors who reported their colleague Philippe Wilmes to the medical board, after allegations emerged that Wilmes had performed surgery on healthy knees.
