Flaxweiler and LarochettePolice target motorists' speed and document violations

The Grand Ducal police carried out two targeted checks in Flaxweiler and Larochette on Wednesday evening.

Three motorists were caught speeding towards the patrols, while two others had issues with their vehicles’ lights.

A motorcyclist was fined after it was discovered that his helmet did not conform to safety regulations, and another was penalised over lack of insurance. A third motorcyclist received a fine because the bike’s exhaust did not meet regulations.

Police had one vehicle towed after it was discovered that the driver did not possess a valid licence and had also allowed the car’s insurance and technical check certificate to expire.

A mobile speed camera caught four drivers speeding at 120 km/h in a 90 km/h zone, while two others were caught travelling at 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
