Several incidents took place over the weekend in the capital, including a fight in Clausen and a violent altercation at a protest.

On Saturday afternoon, a violent altercation broke out between passersby and demonstrators at a protest on Place Guillaume II. Police are seeking details surrounding the incident, which took place at around 4.10pm. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Luxembourg City police on +352 244 40 1000.

Again in the capital, a fight broke out between a group of people in Clausen at around 3.10am on Sunday morning. Initial reports suggest four people were involved in a verbal dispute which later turned physical, resulting in injuries to two individuals. As the situation escalated, one person fell on the pavement, sustaining serious injuries. Treatment was administered at the scene before the victim was transferred to hospital. An investigation has been opened into the incident.
