This was confirmed by the Sarreguemines prosecutor’s office to RTL.
The investigating judge requested assistance from Luxembourg authorities for a European investigation concerning the illegal transport of narcotics.
The Luxembourg Public Prosecutor’s Office also confirmed the police operation, emphasising that it was part of a European, not national, investigation.
Specifically, it was a “Décision d’enquête européenne,” a decision validated by a legal authority from another EU member state. The goal was to gather evidence related to potential legal violations in another EU country.
