
Police arrested an individual for dealing drugs at Luxembourg train station, according to an official statement published by the police. The man in question dropped seven grams of cocaine in an attempt to flee, and will have to face the examining magistrate this Sunday.
Another individual will be brought before the examining magistrate. The man in question broke into a store on rue Chimay in Luxembourg City in the early hours of Sunday morning, and was located by the police shortly after.
On Luxembourg's roads, alcohol tests were carried out on 159 drivers as part of three checkpoints throughout Luxembourg City. 16 individuals were found to be over the legal limit, out of which seven had to pay a fine. Nine out of the 16 cases were reported to the public prosecutor's office and three licenses were confiscated.
In another drunk driving incident, a driver was involved in a hit and run on route d'Arlon in Mamer. The police were able to locate the driver shortly after and found her to be over the legal alcohol limit. The license plate came off during the crash, which made it easy for the police to find the individual.
The police were also called to CHL as a woman under the influence of alcohol was acting aggressively towards hospital staff and later also towards police. She was taken to the police station to calm down. A formal complaint was filed against her.
