Reckless drivers were out in force, with the Grand Ducal Police confirming that nine drivers lost their licenses between Saturday night and Sunday morning. In most instances, police were alerted by erratic driving, while in other cases, speeding led officers to intervene.

One incident, however, stood out for its unusual nature: a driver was found asleep at the wheel in the Glacis car park. Around 4am, a police patrol woke him after discovering he had left the engine running with his foot on the accelerator.

In addition, the police carried out two major alcohol checks in Niederfeulen (Route de Bastogne, N15) and Gilsdorf (Rue du Pont) last night, between 11.15pm and 3.30am. Nearly 400 drivers were stopped, with only two losing their licenses.
