New year, higher pricesPetrol gets more expensive on 1 January

If you're passing by a petrol station before the end of the year, it won't be a terrible idea to fill up your tank, as the first day of 2026 will bring in higher petrol prices.

While prices are still lower than we’ve seen in recent times, with the new year comes a price increase to all forms of fuel.

SP95 climbs by 1,8 cents, reaching 1,41€/litre. SP98 petrol remains the most expensive, going up 1,6 cents to 1,539€/l. As for diesel, it will also see a 1,6 cents increase, staying at 1,389€/l for now.

Regarding heating fuel, a notable rise of 2,5 cents brings the cost of a litre to 0,822 €.
