In a little over 6 hours, the counter-petition calling for strengthening LGBTQIA+ themes in education had reached the threshold of 4,500 signatures required for it be discussed by the Chamber of Deputies.

With both petitions having attained the necessary number of signatures which allows them to be discussed at the Chamber, there is a possibility that they could end up being discussed during the same session, Francine Closener, President of the Petition Committee told RTL this week.
The petitions will undergo the customary signature verification process after the respective deadlines have passed. If no irregularities are detected, they will then be allowed to be discussed.
