The man knocked down an elderly woman as she was crossing the road by the Sandweiler control station in November 2016. The woman was so severely injured that she passed away 3 days later. An autopsy confirmed that her death was caused by the accident.
The 81 year old man was also sentenced to pay 4,100 euros in damages to 6 civil parties.
