
A pedestrian sustained injuries after being hit by a motorised vehicle on Rue Metzerlach in Soleuvre at 5.20pm on Sunday. The motorist drove off without helping the victim, who was treated at the scene before being hospitalised. Police later located the culprit, whose vehicle was seized by order of the prosecutor’s office.
At around 3am on Monday, police were alerted to a car break-in in the capital. Officers eventually identified a suspect on Avenue de la Liberté, who was then arrested by order of the prosecutor’s office. The man was subsequently presented to an examining magistrate.
