Police said three youths had been involved in a discussion on Rue de l’Église, before the altercation turned physical. One of the teenagers suffered knife injuries.
The police were able to apprehend the presumed attacker and an ambulance and helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
The victim was transported to the hospital, however it is currently not known how severely the victim was injured.
On Monday, a patient at the Robert Schuman Hospital in Kirchberg was reported to police after attacking a female employee and exhibiting aggressive behaviour in general.
The woman was heavily intoxicated and refused to be subdued by officers. She was later taken to a cell following a medical check up after being deemed a risk to herself and others.
