The woman was on the bus travelling to Pommerloch. Before reaching the roundabout, it collided with the guardrail and then sped across the middle of the roundabout. At this point, the passenger wondered why the bus was travelling so fast. As the bus briefly lifted, passengers were thrown from their seats. “I thought, now it’s the end,” she said.
The bus eventually came to a stop in a supermarket car park after crashing into the rear of a lorry trailer. The impact shattered the bus windows, causing injuries and panic among the passengers. “There was a lot of blood and people were screaming,” she recalled, adding, “I immediately thought: you have to get out now.”

Several bystanders rushed to assist the injured passengers. Among them were a man and his 16-year-old daughter, who came to the witness’ aid.
“We waited for the ambulances, and I called my husband to tell him what had happened,” she recounted. She would like to know who the man was who helped her so she could thank him.

The woman sustained a fractured vertebra and had four screws implanted in her back. “I’m not like I was before,” she stated, revealing that she has lodged a complaint with the police. She emphasised that she would not wish the ordeal she experienced on anyone.
Since the accident, she has received no assistance. To cope with the trauma, she has started seeing a psychologist. To date, the authorities have offered her no support or help, leaving her feeling abandoned.
She also noted that the police have not provided any explanation regarding the cause of the accident. The investigation is still ongoing, but understanding what happened is crucial for her to move past the trauma.
In the coming days, she plans to contact the National Association of Road Traffic Victims (AVR) for additional support.
