Emergency services reported no fewer than seven accidents on Wednesday, which left a total of twelve people injured.

Two cars collided on Rue Nicolas Meyer in Bascharage at 12.30pm on Wednesday. One person was injured in the accident. Emergency services from Pétange and Bascharage were at the scene to provide assistance.

Shortly after 1pm, a motorcyclist was injured after suffering a fall on the CR348 between Bürden and Bourscheid. Emergency services from Nordstad and Ingeldorf were deployed to the scene of the crash.

A car and a lorry collided on the N12 near Heiderscheidergrund, direction Eschdorf, shortly after 2pm. One person was wounded in the collision. Emergency services from Wiltz and Alebesch were called to the scene.

At 4.40pm, another collision involving a car and a lorry occurred, this time on the A6 motorway, direction Belgium, near the Windhof exit. One person suffered injuries.

A bus and a car then collided on the CR360 around 5.20pm. This accident happened between Mertzig and Michelbouch and left five people injured.

Another collision involving two cars took place on Rue de Niederpallen in Noerdange at 5.50pm and left one person injured.

An accident involving three vehicles occurred near the Berchem service station on the A6 motorway at 1.30am on Thursday. Two people were wounded.

Fires

A rubbish bin on a terrace caught fire on Rue Portland in Esch-sur-Alzette shortly after 8pm on Wednesday. According to reports, one person was injured.

A similar incident happened near a garage on Rue de Bonnevoie in the capital shortly after midnight. However, no injuries were reported in this case.
