Job retention planNo workers to be laid off at G4S after all

In May, security company G4S announced that it intended to slash 80 jobs, which would have led to around 60 workers being laid off.

In cooperation with the trade unions Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) and Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB), however, the company ultimately drafted a job retention plan.

According to a statement published by both trade unions on Tuesday, no workers will be laid off after all thanks to the plan. G4S currently employs about 1,200 workers.
