As the temperatures drop and the cold months draw in, the situation for homeless people in Luxembourg has raised concerns among the capital's authorities.
Mayor Lydie Polfer said on Wednesday that "no one will sleep outdoors" in Luxembourg this winter, explaining there were sufficient accommodation possibilities for all those in need.
However, she said it was not possible to force people to find housing when temperatures drop, but that there were plenty of alternatives to stop homeless people from sleeping outside in freezing conditions.
The issue is expected to be discussed again at next month's city council breakfast.
