The new "CAPAT" association will bring together a number of charities to help support patients and their families.
Nine organisations that advocate for patients and their families have now joined the new Circle of Patient Associations, CAPAT. The association will seek to better defend the rights and interests of patients suffering from a number of diseases, advocating for them at a political level, whilst also providing a source of information to patients and their families.
According to the CAPAT press release issued on Friday, the association would be politically, ideologically and religiously neutral.
The associations are listed below:
- Luxembourg Alzheimer’s Association a.s.b.l.
- Luxembourg Diabetes Association a.s.b.l.
- ALAN, Maladies Rares Luxembourg (Rare Disease Association) a.s.b.l.
- Blëtz a.s.b.l. for stroke victims
- Autism Foundation Luxembourg
- Fondation Cancer
- Fondation Kriibskrank Kanner (children with cancer)
- Luxembourg Multiple Sclerosis League a.s.b.l.
- Parkinson Luxembourg a.s.b.l.
