"The general tax regulations will remain unaffected by these amendments", Gramegna further explained. During the deposition of the budgetary proposal for the year 2021 on Wednesday, the minister is set to announce stricter regulations of real estate as well as specialised investment funds.
In the meantime, MP Diane Adehm (CSV) made what seemed to be a rather spontaneous announcement that her party would no longer pursue the decrease of the solidarity tax. She explained that this mechanism directly nurtured the employment fund, which had suffered too much under the health crisis to be robbed of this influx.
CSV was further disappointed that the presentation on the state's finances, given by minister Pierre Gramegna (DP), only covered the month of August. Gramegna noted that the greatest repercussions of the crisis had occurred in June. The presumed deficit will sit at around €5 billion.
