Although the field is not necessarily familiar to the wider public, investment fund roles continue to draw talent to Luxembourg.
In its 2025/2026 salary guide, Morgan Philips sets out expected entry-level, mid-career, and senior-level pay ranges for a series of highly demanding and often extremely well-paid positions.
For example, a human resources officer starting out in a junior role can expect around €50,000 gross per year (excluding bonuses). With three to six years of experience, this typically rises to €80,000, and senior profiles with more than six years’ experience can reach €100,000. These roles generally require a master’s degree, meaning at least five years of higher education.
A treasurer, responsible among other things for ensuring the firm’s liquidity, will usually begin on roughly €45,000, with salaries doubling once they gain solid experience.
A compliance officer or compliance manager, responsible for ensuring that the company meets national and international regulatory requirements, can also see their salary increase significantly over the course of a career: from €60,000 at junior level to around €110,000 for a senior professional.
At the managerial end of the scale, an administrative and financial director earns some of the highest salaries in the country: starting from €120,000 a year and exceeding €180,000 with broader experience.
A conducting officer for compliance, a particularly high-responsibility role within an investment fund, can expect €130,000 once certified by Luxembourg’s Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF), rising to more than €180,000 after several years.
