
This latest meeting follows a previous one held in January over the operation of the Maison du Grand-Duc, which took place against the backdrop of tensions at the Grand Ducal Court.
According to Radio 100,7, the discussions on Wednesday were “constructive.” Both parties are said to have agreed to conduct a more extensive investigation into several more technical areas of the administration’s operation. Potential improvements will be proposed at the next meeting in the following months.
The newspaper Lëtzebuerger Land reported at the end of December that new tensions had arisen in the context of Princess Alexandra’s wedding preparations, the civil part of which will be held this weekend in Luxembourg City.
The religious ceremony will take place next week in Bormes-les-Mimosas in the south of France.
