The compensation in question would consist of 12,500 euros for companies employing between 10 and 20 people.

The government council also decided to extend the lump sum compensation of 5,000 euros designed for companies with fewer than 10 people forced to cease their activities because of the pandemic.

This will now also be available to companies who suffer a loss of at least 50% of turnover from 15 April to 15 May, according to the Ministry for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses.

An additional indemnity of 5,000 euros will also be granted to companies with fewer than 10 employees, who have either not been authorised to resume work, or have suffered a loss of at least 50% turnover during the same time period despite being authorised to work.

Further information will be available on the guichet.lu website from Friday. The corresponding form  will be online next week.
