The Lycée Technique du Centre will offer a DAP (professional aptitude diploma) in tattoo artistry, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health on Thursday. The course will be offered in German to students who have successfully completed the first three years of secondary school, and covers practical as well as theoretical teaching.
The healthcare science pathway in general education, which was previously offered to students in their penultimate year of secondary schooling, will now be extended by two years to pupils in 4e, provided they achieve the required level in mathematics. The course is offered at the LTPS (secondary school for healthcare professions) and will take place in French and German. This extension is designed to help pupils develop their knowledge of medical sciences and specialise in one of three fields: human biology, medical sciences, or pharmacology. Graduates will be able to pursue training in various professions, ranging from laboratory assistant to podiatrist, midwife or biotechnology engineer.
The Ministry of Health said the qualifications would help young people adapt to developments in society and the job market.
