In Berdorf, nine new municipal councillors were elected. Joe Nilles came in first place with 670 votes, followed by Ben Streff with 513 votes, and Marc Wintersdorf with 415 votes.
In that same region, residents of the municipality Beaufort also had to vote in two elections on the same day, after the June elections were postponed following the death of a candidate. Here it was Jean-Luc Nosbusch with 817 total votes that came in first place, followed by Bruno Domingues Grilo and Lynn Mossong.
Back in June, in Nommern, only six people candidated for the nine available spots in the municipal council. So three new councillors had to be elected on Sunday. Philippe Metz, Celia Reckinger and Luc Watgen will fill these seats on the local council.
