At around 11pm on Friday night, a police patrol noticed a driver who sped past officers in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The man sped through the roundabout on Boulevard J.F Kennedy and then proceeded to park in a parking spot clearly marked for police vehicles. The patrol that followed the motorist then asked him to undergo an alcohol test, which came back positive.

In addition to being under the influence, the man also lacked valid insurance for the car, which also was not registered properly. The man received a driving ban and the car was confiscated.

Second incident in Esch-sur-Alzette

Just before 8pm, a young man engaged two other men in a conversation on Avenue du Rock'n Roll before stealing cash from their wallets. He then escaped, but was caught by the police not long afterwards. The officers recovered the stolen money and fined the man.
