The vehicles crashed into one another when the car tried making a turn, while the motorcyclist prepared to overtake the larger vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in the crash and was subsequently brought to the hospital.
The police then reports two car thefts on Sunday. One occurred during the morning hours in Dudelange. The respective owner noticed that his car had disappeared from the parking lot in Rue Gare-Usines, where he parked the vehicle on Friday afternoon. Instead, he found glass shards where his car was supposed to be. The vehicle in question is a white Fiat Ducato with the Luxembourgish licence plate JL 7622.
The second theft was reported in Rue de l'Eglise in Schouweiler. Between midnight and early on Monday morning, a black Range Rover with the Luxembourgish license plate LG 2278 was stolen.
