DifferdangeMotorcyclist injured during police chase

RTL Today
On Saturday afternoon two motorcyclists engaged in a chase with the police in the south of the country.

In Differdange two cross-motorcyclists attracted the police's attention, due to their exaggerated speed, the vehicles not having the lights turned on as well as the lack of license plates.

Once the first driver noticed the police they tried to get away at full speed. Police were unable to stop the second motorcyclist by blocking the road, and a high-speed chase ensuedl; the police pursued the two through the rain with blue lights and sirens at a speed of over 100 km/h.

Somewhere along the way, the two drivers chose different paths, leaving only one of them to be chased over pavements and through traffic. Eventually, the driver crashed into a tree trunk, causing his vehicle to turn over and leaving him with injuries. After police officers provided first aid, the driver was taken to hospital. He claimed he had tried to escape the patrol since he had no insurance, nor a driving license, as well as his vehicle being unregistered.

On Saturday evening around 9pm, a man was mugged by 3 individuals in Bonnevoie. The attackers pulled him into the shelter at the bus stop, punched him and hit him with a bottle. They then forced him to hand over all valuable items before  running away with the man's wallet.

At the train station in Esch-sur-Alzette another violent mugging occurred, where another individual was threatened with a knife and got punched in the face. The attacker stole all the money from the victim's pockets and ran away in the direction of Neudorf.
