RTL Today
The police confirmed on Tuesday that a woman who went missing at the end of August has been found dead.

The Luxembourg authorities had launched an appeal for witnesses in the hope of finding a woman in her fifties who was last seen in Lipperscheid on 23 August.

Almost two weeks later, the police have confirmed that her lifeless body was discovered on Monday evening. No additional information has been released concerning the circumstances surrounding this discovery.

An investigation has been initiated, with preliminary findings at the scene suggesting that the involvement of a third party can be ruled out.

The Diekirch public prosecutor’s office has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
