Esch-sur-AlzetteMinistry of Internal Security approves new site for regional police headquarters

RTL Today
After years of searching for a suitable location for the headquarters of the south-west region, the Ministry of Internal Security has selected a new site in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Thanks to the development of the A4 motorway near the Raemerich roundabout, a new strategic area has become available to accommodate the regional headquarters and Esch section of the judicial police, the Ministry announced.

In addition, the new site will also be equipped with an impound facility, and the brand new Esch-sur-Alzette police station will receive three duty posts.

After the two-year renovation of the main police building on Boulevard Kennedy, a dedicated police station for the Esch area will be built to accommodate the two permanent posts.

The planning for these new buildings is in full swing, pointed out Minister Henri Kox in his response to a parliamentary question from Pirates MP Marc Goergen.
