The latest figures from the Ministry of Health show that 247 new cases of coronavirus were discovered over the last 72 hours.

Monday’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures on the weekend.

126 cases were recorded on Friday, with 113 on Saturday and 8 on Sunday.

No new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, meaning the total death toll in the Grand Duchy remains at 819.

15,739 tests were carried out over the three days, meaning the total positivity rate from the three days was 1.6%.

Hospitalisations have increased somewhat, and there are currently 12 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, with two patients in intensive care.

As of yesterday, there were 1,547 active infections in Luxembourg, while 69,891 people have recovered from the virus.

371,670 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg. 272,261 people are fully vaccinated.

As of yesterday, the R rate is at 0.93, down from the previous figure of 1.36.
