Meteolux has issued a yellow alert from 1pm until 5pm on Thursday for Luxembourg. Thunderstorms are predicted to hit the Grand Duchy, with hailstones, heavy rain and strong winds reaching up to 60 km/h.
In France, a yellow alert has been issued for the Lorraine region until midnight on Thursday.
Belgium’s Royal Institute of Meteorology has also issued warnings of storms, heavy rainfall and gales throughout the afternoon, with around 25-50 litres of rain predicted to fall per square metre over the next 24 hours.
