Alongside a violent robbery in the "Kinnekswiss" park in the capital, the police also received reports of a man wielding an illegal knife in Differdange.

In Differdange, a man was found in possession of an illegal knife, and another knife was discovered in his possession - as well as an additional dagger at his residence.

Although he did not pose an immediate threat or cause harm to anyone, his intoxicated state raised concerns for his safety and that of others. Consequently, he was taken into custody, and authorities have filed a complaint regarding the illegal weapons.

On Friday evening around 8.30pm, a violent robbery occurred in the “Kinnekswiss” park in the capital.

Three assailants, described as being between 1.70 and 1.85 meters tall and dressed in black, confronted a man, robbing him of his watch and money at knifepoint. The criminals subsequently fled toward the city centre. Despite immediate efforts by police to locate the suspects, they remain at large.

Several brawls reported across the country

Several altercations were reported across the country during the night from Friday to Saturday, mostly involving individuals under the influence of alcohol.

In one incident at the Gare district of Luxembourg City, police were alerted to a confrontation between a homeless person and another woman. The latter reportedly assaulted the homeless woman without provocation. The police arrived at the scene, where they found the homeless victim. Although she received medical attention from emergency services, she declined to be transported to hospital. The intoxicated aggressor, who remained uncooperative, was subsequently taken into custody.
