Unimpressed by the restraining order, the man returned to the home in Bereldange and attacked his wife after threatening her.
The man was still at the house when police arrived at the scene. The public prosecutor’s office was informed and consequently ordered the arrest of the man.
He faced an examining magistrate on Saturday and still remains in custody.
