Around 2.30am on Saturday, police were alerted to a brawl outside of a bar in Luxembourg City’s Gare district. Once officers arrived at the scene, they found one person loosing a significant amount of blood from a facial wound.
The victim explained that two individuals had attacked them earlier on and fled the scene. An ambulance brought the victim to a nearby hospital while police opened an investigation into the assault.
Shortly after 6pm, clerks of a store in Gare noticed how a thief was trying to escape with goods worth €600. They managed to detain the perpetrator until police arrived at the scene. Officers then arrested the man by order of the prosecutor’s office. Later on Saturday, the man faced an examining magistrate.
