The man had become violent to the point that the police were called. When officers arrived at the shelter they found the man was being held down on the floor by security guards, after he had made death threats.
On order of the prosecutor's office, police investigated the man in more detail. It transpired that he was illegally living in the country and was consequently brought to a detention centre.
A woman was mugged in Pétange on Monday in the Lamadeleine area. The attacker approached the woman near a shop, displayed aggression and pulled her necklace from her neck.
He then ran off in the direction of the bus stop "op der Gare". A search was carried out but to no avail.
