Bierger-Center in Luxembourg CityMan arrested for presumed use of forged documents

The Bierger-Center (Citizen Service Centre) in Luxembourg City notified the police on Monday after a person presented himself with what appeared to be a forged driving licence and passport.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the police station. The use of special equipment by the Airport Police Unit increased the suspicion of forged documents. The suspect was taken into custody. An identification check is underway.

The police also report the arrest of two suspected drug dealers. One of them was caught by police officers during a drug deal in the Gare neighbourhood in Luxembourg City on Monday night. The police found a bag containing 22 drug pellets hidden nearby, while the man himself was in possession of a large sum of cash. The suspected dealer was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.

The second dealer was caught red-handed by the police on Avenue d’Oberkorn in Differdange on Monday evening. The suspected dealer, who was in a car, was in possession of 38 pellets of heroin and five pellets of cocaine. The officers also seized cash and several mobile phones. The suspect was taken into custody on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office.

The two suspected drug traffickers were brought before an examining magistrate on Tuesday.
