83 businesses received the “Made in Luxembourg” label this week, in the presence of Minister for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises Lex Delles, as well as Tom Wirion, director of Luxembourg’s Chamber of Trades.
The number of applications for the quality label has increased significantly over the last few years, said Carlo Thelen, director general of the Chamber of Commerce.
Delles said the boost in applications confirmed that both consumers and suppliers were focusing more on identity, as well as sustainable products and reducing distance between production and consumption.
As it stands, just over 1,600 businesses have been awarded the “Made in Luxembourg” label. The label is designed to assure quality as well as promote products and services of businesses established in Luxembourg, wishing to develop their offerings abroad.
