Since September 2023, the Lycée Privé Emile Metz (LPEM) has expanded its presence in Luxembourg with a second location in Differdange, complementing its existing campus in Dommeldange.
The new site, located near Villa Hadir in Differdange, was developed over the past two years, with a newly constructed complex added to the existing building. Although the facility is already partially operational, its official inauguration is scheduled for 26 February. Currently, around 100 students are enrolled at the Differdange campus, all of whom are pursuing vocational training. All courses are conducted in English.

From September 2025, the school will broaden its offerings to include first-year classes in general secondary education (7ème Générale), including in French. This expansion is expected to double the student population, with the Differdange campus having a total capacity of up to 400 students.
In an interview with our colleagues from RTL Télé, LPEM Headmaster Pascal Thill emphasised the significance of this development. He noted that Differdange, Luxembourg’s third-largest city with over 30,000 residents, currently lacks a secondary school offering general secondary education. Thill explained that LPEM aims to fill this gap by providing an option for students from Differdange and surrounding areas who wish to pursue this educational path. He also highlighted the school’s commitment to smaller class sizes and a personalised approach to learning.
Although LPEM is a private institution, enrolment is free of charge. On 8 March, the school will host an open day at both its Differdange and Dommeldange campuses.
