Get to know Luxembourg's English school options, both public and private, as we take you inside each school and meet staff and students.

Lycée Privé Emile Metz is the only MINT-certified school in Luxembourg, which stands for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. Although private, secondary education is free and no fees have to be paid.

Pascal Thill, principal of the school, explains that the English track of the department is rather new, with a small number of students: "We have around 500 students, whereas only around 60 are here in Differdange. The rest are in Dommeldange." In Differdange, the school is specialised in vocational training for English-speaking students.

Student Mykola Gerasymchuk explains more about his electrotechnology class: "Here the students know more about how electronics work, and how to use specific devices and modules, how to connect them to each other, and in what situations you can use them." His peer Davyd Zhyhalin talks us through 3D modelling, where items are also printed with 3D printers.

IT teacher Andrei Filimon highlights the great diversity of students: "We have students from all over the world, and together we are building a community, which is working very nicely, and I'm very proud of this."

"Our goal is really to give students a perspective," says Pascal Thill. "We know we have a lot of English-speaking students in Luxembourg, but not really an offer when it comes to vocational training. This is where we come into place."
