On Wednesday evening, trains were cancelled in both directions between Luxembourg City and Trier because the line in Roodt-sur-Syre was blocked. The CFL state on their website that replacement buses are operating in both directions between Wecker and Oetrange, with stops in Wecker, Betzdorf, Roodt-sur-Syre, Mensdorf and Oetrange.
When asked by RTL, police confirmed that a car became stuck on the level crossing in Roodt-sur-Syre. Officers are on site with the driver to determine the fastest way to remove the vehicle from the tracks so that train services can resume.
